Salary will be paid according to the Sixth Form College’s Salary Spine for Teachers. (£30,500 – £47,133 per annum)  

Full Time or Part Time, minimum of 0.6 FTE, permanent

The City of Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College is a thriving, lively and successful Sixth Form College, at the heart of the University Quarter in Stoke on Trent. The College is part of the Potteries Educational Trust working collaboratively with educational institutions from across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. The College is currently graded Good by Ofsted.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and driven person to join a high performing team at the forefront of Level 3 Mathematics delivery. With over 400 students studying A level Maths, Further Maths and Statistics, our successful curriculum has supported excellent destinations: In the past 4 years 60% of students who progressed to Oxbridge studied Maths and 33 students taking Maths went on to study medicine, dentistry or veterinary courses. The College ranked is 1st in Stoke on Trent for A level, 1st for Tech Level and 3rd for AGQ for 2023 results.

The College has strong links with HE partners and staff within the STEM area are involved in initiatives to promote mathematics within schools across the City. The department works closely with the AMSP. Mathematics is a growing, successful and popular subject area within the College.
