Biddulph High School & The City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College receive excellent results

We’re proud to announce that Biddulph High School and the City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College have received an excellent set of A Level Results this year – maintaining achievement for students in the context of new national reforms in education.

City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College

City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College Principal, Mark Kent, offered his warmest congratulations to all students on their success.  He commented:

With more than 50 academic and vocational courses studied, it is pleasing to see that the College has maintained our excellent performance. I’m proud of the hard work and dedication of our students and staff who continue to work hard and achieve great things.

Result highlights for the City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College includes:

  • 856 A Level entries with a 96% pass rate
  • 30% of entries at A Level achieved the highest grades of A*-B
  • 151 A* (or equivalent) grades achieved this year
  • 60% of A Level subjects achieving 100% pass rate (maintained from 2017)

Biddulph High School

Having faced up to the challenge of new courses in many subject areas Biddulph High School’s outcomes proved to be excellent with students performing above expectations across all subject areas.

The personalised support and guidance offered by the Biddulph High School Sixth Form team has enabled all students to move forward to the next stage of their education or employment with a striking 97% of students moving onto their first choice destination.
